In 2015 I saw the benefits of the industrial hemp crop and all of the 50,000 uses and applications. By 2017 when i landed in Africa my path took me to a receptive DRCongo and there I realized how hemp could be a game changer for the people and economy. The Congo has 80 million hectares of arable land and 86 million hard working people and yet, it's one of the poorest countries in the world. It was a simple decision to develop a multi-cropping strategy that combined the vast arable lands to grow hemp with the industrial power of first world processing technology and a waiting world market. I knew immediately we could be a strong economic driver and vehicle to assist in the countries agenda to transition from being mining dependant as the principal industry to agriculture. I was called to action to lead a public private coalition partnership to build a new "Agri Industrial Green Economic Powerhouse" engine thus giving the hemp crop its rightful place as the superstar environmental and commercial crop while creating a major economic renaissance for the Congo.

Since 2019 RainTrust has been focused on signing Agreements with various landowners, Provincial Governors that control large lands in there Provinces. To date, we have secured over 2.5 million hectares for multi cropping cultivation and the exclusive right to build infrastructure so that our partner all communities can flourish with decent jobs, livelihood and a shared interest in the venture. The RainTrust plan is to develop Agri Industrial businesses related to hemp.
